I was diagonised with Hypothyroid 10 years back and since then I am on medication. I am female, 30 years old. I take Thyroxine 100 mg everyday. I have lost close to 30 kgs of weight that I had put on during hypothyroid stage. I am at my ideal weight now. I take brisk walk of 20 min each in morning and evening. Wanted to know what is ideal diet for hypothyroid and can I get rid of medication ?
There is no other alternative to get rid of hypothyroidism. Life time medication should be taken. When the TSH range reaches normal level, it will be easy to lose weight. Hypothyroidism occurs mainly due to deficiency of iodine. Take healthy foods rich in iodine like spinach, barley, seafoods, beans, eggs, cows milk, yoghurt, strawberries, banana etc. Go for moderate exercises, cardio 45min and 20 min strenth training.
