Suggest Ideal Pain Killer For Toothache While On Diclofenac Sodium Topical Gel
I am using Diclofenac sodium topical gel (1%) for arthritic knee pain. I currently have a toothache form a tooth that needs extraction. The extraction is scheduled for next week. What pain reliever for toothache can you recommend that won't have an adverse reaction with the Diclofenac?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern.
As per your complain if you have a severe pain in tooth that is advised for extraction then you it seems that there is deep decay in tooth that is causing pain due to nerve irritation and probably the infection must have reached below the root tips of the tooth leading to pressure and pain..
As you are using topical analgesic gel you need not to worry as it will not cause any problem if you take oral pain killers as there will not be any interaction between the two..
You can take anti inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen in case if pain in mild to moderate.. In case of severe pain you can take higher painkillers like Ketorolac and Tramadol.. Along with it you can also do cool compresses over the cheek.. Take a soft diet.. Avoid eating from painful side..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
