Hi, Took my wife to the doctor today for dark patches on her cheeks (melasma) and the doctor gave a bag full of goodies to take home...Acneheal (ex. Cipla), Ketosulf - Ketoconazole sulution, Glovera soap (medical soap), Lycopene capsules ( Multi-vitamines and Mineral) and Nazi-250 (Azithromycin)!! The last one really baffles me as its an anti-biotic and yet the wife is not suffering from anything. I understand, that Melasma can be triggered off by hormonal changes but a bucket full of drugs together with Astha Plus cream, Astha Skin care, Summer Astha and Astha retouch (now this is some blend!). Been to many doctors before and most have said "it cannot be fully treated, but can be controlled" and yet, in this doctors clinic, he has many patients, where he takes the pictures of their conditions before, during and after treatment. I agree, this is not a camera trick and have seen and sopke to some customers. The clinic presents itself as Ayurvedic in Mumbai (India). I'm sure the mixture of goodies are not all ayurvedic, but my concern is should we go ahead and use as prescribed?? OR try something else that might actually help to control the Melasma? Thank you.
