Suggest Medication For Abdominal Pain After Abortion
i was prescribed doxycycline after i had an abortion 3 days ago. after the second day i begin to itch so i stop taking the medication. now i feel pain in my lower abdomen and i want to start taking the medication over again. should i take the rest of the medication i was prescribe. and how can i get the pain to go away. its not responding to the pain medication am taking.
Pain in abdomen is known after abortion. It is due to the contractions of the uterus which keeps the bleeding in control and also helps to expel out any products left out in the uterine cavity. If the pain is intolerable, it may be minimized by some pain killers like Paracetamol.
However, if you have caught some infection, the pain will be associated with foul smelling discharge and will require an antibiotics treatment. Please report to your Gynaecologist to find out the possibility of infection and then decide about the medication with medical advice only.
I hope this helps you.
