Hi Madam,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Adenomyosis is a condition in which endometrial tissue, which normally lines the uterus, grows into the muscular wall of the uterus.
It can cause symptoms like
menstrual cramps, lower abdominal pain and bloating before menstrual periods and can result in heavy periods.
The treatment of the condition depends on your symptoms and their severity.
The following are the treatment options instituted to treat the disorder:
1. Anti-inflammatory medications like nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) to relieve mild pain associated with adenomyosis.
2.
Hormone therapy for symptoms such as heavy or painful periods like administration of levonorgestrel-releasing IUD, aromatase inhibitors and GnRH analogs.
3.
Uterine artery embolization, which is minimally invasive procedure used to block the blood vessels that provide blood flow to the adenomyosis.
Sevista 30 what has been prescribed contains 'Ormeloxifene', which is used to treat
dysfunctional uterine bleeding. In case you have heavy and
irregular periods, you need to take this medication as prescribed and do the necessary follow-up.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
