Suggest Medication For An Itchy Rash On The Scalp

Hi, My husband has Pulmonary Sarcoidosis and has a bad rash with it. He is wondering what kind of medicine he can use for it. It is very uncomfortable and itches a lot. This time, it is on his scalp and is visible to others. He does a lot of sneezing and has tearing in his eyes. He was diagnosed with this for a few years now, for about eight years. Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of itchy rash on the scalp. It seems that you are suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis leading to itching, yellowish patches and red pimples. The medications given to you that is Tryptomer 10 that contains Amitiyptyline that is an anti depressant and can be given to relieve pain and anxiety, Zydip-C lotion that is an antifungal and steroid combination, Kenz 200 mg contains Ketoconazole that is an antifungal medicine along with Levociz tablet that is an anti allergic and will reduce itching. You can also use shampoo containing Ketoconazole, coal tar, salicylic acid, zinc and selenium. You can also keep the scalp dry and clean and wash the scalp every alternate day. If symptoms persists then consult dermatologist.
