Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have arthritis and would like to ask what is the best supplement out there for arthritis. I have been taking nature's valley turmeric and curcumin but see no improve. I had read that the supplement needs to include black pepper but do not know for sure as there are so many claims out there. Any help you could provide would be great. Thank you.
Hi i am Dr Ahmed Aly thanks for using HealthcareMagic site , I had gone through your question and understand your concerns ..
I hope you feel better soon but physiotherapy , vitamin B12 supplements and the hyaluronic containing supplements are of very good value as they maintain the synovial lubricating amount and prevent further friction and tissue cartilage destruction . The articular surfaces of the joints are the main tissue affected in the inflammation process so medications also include Painkillers and anti-inflammatory tabs like tylenol tabs when needed , steroid tabs or injections are effective also muscle relaxants are helpful and hot gentle massages with topical gels of anti-inflammatory gels will be effective in most of the cases . maintain your daily physical exercises and you will be fine .
