Suggest Medication For Bacterial Vaginosis
I have bacterial vaginosis. The end prescribed metriziole in the pill twice but it didn t work. Then the gel, but I had sex after completing it, which I think interfered with the medicine. She prescribed metriziole again, but recommended taking it everyday 4 to 6 months. Is there another option with this gel, like twice a day for a week?

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Bacterial vaginosis is treated with metriziole oral tablets or gel application.
A course of 7 days is required for any of the treatment regime.
Sex will not interfere with treatment of bacterial vaginosis.
I suggest you to take a complete course of metriziole.
If the symptoms recur, the drug will have to be repeated.
Bacterial vaginosis is known to recur so the treatment may have to be repeated.
