Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Greetings! My daughter has basal pneumonitis with oral meds of co amoxiclav and salbutamol 5ml every 3 hours for 3 days and still with no improvement what should i do? Still with fever Diff. Of breating Vomiting What are the danger signs complications? Do i have to bring her back again to her pedia?
Hello! I had gone through your query and understand your concern. Since your daughter has three days taking regularly an antibiotic I don't see a reason why her temperature is still high and you haven't see any improvement. I suggest you to take her back to her pediatrician so he can examine her again and find out why her isn't improving. It is important to do another visit because many bacteria have developed the ability to resist certain antibiotic and if this is happening with your daughter the pediatrician will prescribe you the right antibiotic.
Meanwhile keep her fever under control, give her Ibuprofen or Paracetamol to do that. She need to rest and eat healthy food, most green vegetables. Be careful with her dehydration, give her drink plenty of fluids.
Hope it helped. Wish your daughter a quick and complete recovery. Dr.Rovena
