Suggest Medication For Continued Ear Congestion

I have ear congestion in one ear for 2.5 weeks. I saw my ear doctor last week and he is having me take a decongestive (sudafed) once a day; I am getting ready to see him again because it has not cleared up. I have been taking pravastatin for 6 months and recently found out (online) that this drug can cause ear congestion. If I stop the pravastation immediately, will my hearing return to normal. (The ear doctor didn't mention drugs and he knows I take this medication.) I am a musician and need to hear!

Thanks,

Linda
