Suggest Medication For Dry Cough
I am suffering from deep cough for past 2 weeks. I had fever for 3 days in the beginning. fever subsided. However ordinary paracetamol, benadryl and others have not helped. My other family members are also having the same cough, which is dry and not much phelgm comes . can u help me with a prescription?

Dry cough ( sometimes with phlegm or expectoration without phlegm) from last 2 weeks with other family members may be due to .
1 All these symptoms which you mentioned in your query may be due to some allergen , either in atmosphere or due to dust , mite , pollen , hay , fumes , fine dusting powder ( as all these are predisposing factor of this type of cough . When such type of patient comes to me I usually prescribe them to take a combo pack of monteleukast+bambuterol tablet twice or once in day depending upon the severity of allergy. Since this is a prescription medicine , so please consult a physician and get his consultation. I also advise them to take some dextromethorpan syrup ( available at chemist shop)
2 Viral infection and common cold , when such type of patient visit I usually prescribe them terbutalin syrup 5 ml twice in day with ambroxol ( mucus soften).
In my opinion deal as I above mentioned in no 1 .
