Suggest Medication For Fatigue And Lethargy While On Medication For High BP

Am on dialysis (63 year old male). On many meds including hydralazine (50 mg 3 X day), lopressor (25 mg 2 X day) and norvasc (5 mg 1 X day). Blood pressure runs about 128-140 for systolic and 45-58 dystolic with pulse averaging between 57 - 65. I am EXTREMELY tired and fatigued most of the time. Any suggestions on medication adjustments to help with this fatigue? I had a triple bypass in '96 and all grafts are still clean. Also take Prevachhol 10 mg 1 X day.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Your diastolic pressure is too low, possibly due to dialysis. This could be contributing to your fatigue and lethargy.
2. Also get you hemogram done to rule out anemia. Patients on dialysis are at increased risk of anemia.
3. Nutritional diet is very essential. Control blood pressure within normal range.
Continue medications. Not to worry.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
