Suggest Medication For Frequent Urination Post TURP Surgery
I am an 80 year old male with frequent urinary issues. I have had a turp nearly 14 years ago with a degree of reduction in spasmotic urinary issues. However, the frequency of urination has returned to a point where it is impacting my life. Some days I need to go almost every hour and at times within 30-40 minutes of the last need. My urologist checks my prostate every year and reports no great change in size on the part he can reach. Would something like Detrol/Oxybutinin be of help? When I feel the urge to go I can hold back a little for a short time but when the urge returns there is no holding back. My kidney function is checked annually and the report is always within spec. I am currently taking atenolol and Lotrel for BP and Lipitor for cholesterol. Do I have a bladder problem that meds can help?

Suggest Medication For Frequent Urination Post TURP Surgery
Hello, Frequent urination can be simply because of urinary tract infection. Get a urinalysis done and start with tab levoflox twice a day for 3 days. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. Bhanu Partap, Cardiologist
