Hello. My mother (59y) was newly diagnosed an advanced NSCLC, Adenocarcinoma in Sept,2011. She is on Iressa and positively responsing. Meantime she has gastroesophagitis and possible erosions. Problem has been bothering her since ages and relapses treated with Omeprazole group. Now clinical symtoms (stomachache, reflux etc) restarted with Iressa she is taking 1 hour prior eating. Question: can we give Iressa with food (without altering gefitinib absorbtion) and what medicins we can use to treat her gastric erosions (without interacting Iressa). Thanks!
She may be given Cap. Esomeprazole 40mg before breakfast. Syp. sucralfate 2 tsf x thrice daily before meals. Also Tab. Itopride 50mg thrice daily before meals is effective
