Suggest Medication For Infection In Chest And Tonsillitis

Just letting you know that Jonathan has chest infection & also a temp, I took him to the doctor on thurs morning & doctor said that Jonathan has a chest infection hence why he has been coughing for a while, also his tonsillitis has been affecting him as well. I called the night doctor last night & he said that his tonsillitis is inflamed which is also causing Jonathan to have a temp. Jonathan is on antibiotics, been giving him Panadol every 4 hrs & nurofen every 8 hrs. He s ok just temp up & down, been keeping his fluids up. Probably best if you take him to the doctors 2m to get Jonathan s tonsillitis checked. We r leaving 2d to come home.

As you mentioned that there is chest infection & tonsillitis .
When such type of patient visit in my clinic I advise them to take LEVOFLOXACIN 500 mg once in day , but few patient also develops giddiness ,so I advise them to take this drug after meal . As far as for local pain and infection in tonsils , take some local anti septic tablets as tablets of dextromehtorpan ( chew able ) . Hot saline gargles also provide relief ( instant ) .
Panadol is also for temporary relief and for pain.
Still no relief ,consult an E N T & get his opinion.
