Suggest Medication For Lacerations On Forehead

I fell flat on my face hard 4 weeks ago and received lacerations to my head and forehead. They were both sutured. The one on the head is healing but the forehead is taking longer to seal up. I was given antibiotic ointment but the progress is slow.

First you need to know healing on face (forehead) is slower than that of other parts of body. Follow following suggestions for early healing without bad scar on face :-
1) Try not to move your muscles around the wound.
2) Keep the wound covered and change dressing daily. Avoid infection. You can suspect infection if you get fever and generalized malaise, fluid or yellow/green pus oozing from wound, redness and swelling around skin. Dont miss or leave the antibiotic dose as your doctor will have prescribed you. I think doctor would have advised you systemic antibiotics too. Infections delay the wound healing and also cause bad scars.
3) Avoid hot-pads, hot shower and sweating, even the sweating caused by spicy food is harmful for you.
4) Once the wound seal up and dry up, you do not touch it, dont itch it, dont pick any scab from it.
