Hello, This is Dr. Klarida Papaqako answering your question.
Premarin (Vaginal conjugated estrogen) is usually prescribed for only a short time and are most often used in a cycle, such as 3 weeks on followed by 1 week off. Some conditions require daily use and others require use only twice a week during the treatment period. For your case, its recommended to get used only for 2 weeks long, on a daily basis.
Other options you can consider is vaginal ring - estradiol ring (micronized estradiol 2 mg) inserted vaginally every 90 days, or a vaginal tablet. Also, vaginal moisturizer or lubricant as supplement or alternative. If the above options wont work, your following doctor may recommend to take systemic (oral or transdermal) estrogen replacement if osteoporosis or vasomotor symptoms, according to labs and his check up.
Hope the information works. Take care.
