Hi,3 years back i got very bad vertigo ,vomiting and headache .docter told me that it is a sinus and dehyadretion and i had tinnitus in my ear so he said vertigo is because of that.and then i consulted a ent doctor .after taking 10 days course i was well.but then after i regularly feel pressure in my ear ,tinnitus in ear ,short breath,i cant see a bright light ,and throught infections and heavy head and feel dizzy .so i wanted to ask which medicines should i take to stop it completely.i really need you help.
A patient with vertigo should have a spinning sensation, tinnitus is not enough. Ear pressure and tinnitus may be symptoms of labyrinth disorders but more than one may present with similar symptoms. Tinnitus may also be a symptom related to chronic degenerative changes in the ear.
Ear pressure requires assessment. An ENT specialist is the most appropriate specialist to do the assessment. The treatment depends on the diagnosis as some of these disorders may be treated with a course of corticosteroids while others can only be treated with drugs for the labyrinth-like betahistine etc.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Panagiotis Zografakis,
