Suggest Medication For Pink Eye

First some background, I have crohns disease, colitis, and esaphogitis but have been in remission for a number of years. I recently came down with pink eye and an ear infection and was given levaquin and some benadryl from the doctor. My ear infection has gone away and my pink eye is lessened a bit as it happens in the morning with discharge and crust on my eyelids, however I now have a severe cough that leads me to gag and sometimes vomit clear fluid up. I also have constant abdominal pain and it hurts my throat if I talk alot or swallow. It has been going on for about 3 days. I was wondering if this has to do with the levaquin I took, or if it causes a flare up in my crohns and what steps or medicines would you recommend. Thanks in advance.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Levaquin is levofloxacin, a broad-spectrum antibiotic. You should take vitamin B complex along with it. Now you can stop all antibiotics and take unienzyme for 1 week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ashok Kumar Dash
