Suggest Medication For Rectal Fever Of About 101.4

My 8 month old baby has been very irritable lately and having trouble sleeping. She has a rectal temp of 101.4 and it was about the same yesterday. She has a running nose at times and is congested, no cough though She will only fall alseep w/ me holding her, which is unlike her b/c she can usually put herself to sleep in her crib. I thought she may be cutting her top teeth but I'm unsure. Her dr. is not in yet or I'd call her.. Do you think I should take her in?

Hi dear
welcome to the HCM.
Child is suffering with RTI. Requires to be treated with antipyretic like paracetamol and antihistaminic decongestant.
Take care of the hydration and nutrition.
Tepid water sponging will help in reducing the fever further.
