Suggest Medication For Severe Cold, Cough And Fever In A Toddler

Hello doctors,

My daughter, 2 yrs old baby is suffering from severe cold and cough and also has fever. She bacame very dull other wise she is very active. This is since three days. What are the prescribed medicinces for her. Is moxikind-cv-kid tabs ok?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your daughter has Upper Respiratory Tract Infection also known as Common Cold and as it is Viral infection antibiotics will not resolve the symptoms as it is capable to treat only bacterial infection..
Therefore mixikind CV is not required as it is antibiotic..
I would suggest you to give her anti allergics like Benadryl, Tylenol to relieve fever and aches, cough syrup..
Put saline nasal spray, give her Steam inhalation and use a humidifier in her room..
Give her plenty of warm water and other warm fluids to drink..
Give her soft bland diet..
Avoid chilled and spicy foods..
Give her ample of rest..
In case if there is no resolution consult a Paediatrician and get evaluated..
