Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
hello doctor,my son is suffering from allergic eyes(itching) since 1 yr.he has frequently been prescribed if2 and sometimes lotepred.in addition to that from previous i month he is suffering from cold and cough.,early morning cough is more prevalent.i have given him azi 200 for 6 days and syp timinic and levolyn.but still no relief .there is no wheezing, but there seems to be mucus while he coughs,it is difficult for him to expectorate.plz help
I have gone through the medical history of your son and feel sorry for the situation he is in.
Azi 200 is an antibiotic fighting bacterial infection. Syr. T-Minic contains phenylephrine which is used as nasal decongestant. Levolin consists of Levosalbutamol which is a bronchodilatator, improving bronchial spasms.
To my opinion, a mucolytic is also necessary to help expectorate. I also advise to: - let him drink more fluids - let him sleep with one more pillow - do aerosol-therapy
Wish fast recovery! Dr.Albana
