Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was breaking up a fight between my own dogs (one does not like the other) and was bitten on my leg 5 days ago. There is some redness around the puncture wound, but it is not painful or itchy and I don t feel as though I have a fever or any other symptoms of infection. I ve been applying antibiotic cream daily and keeping it clean. Should I be concerned about the redness? My thought is that alot of scrapes, cuts, punctures get red somewhat during healing, but how red is too red? thank you. BC
HI Thank for asking to HCM I really appreciate your concern if this is dog bite then this should not be taken as granted you need to see the doctor for clinical examination and in my opinion it would be better to have the antirabies dosages on privative basis animal bite some proves dangerous later on, hope this information helps you, have nice day.
