Suggest Medications To Control Triglyceride Level

Hi, I am 62-years-old, 5 2 1/2 , 145 lbs. Over the last year, I have gained 10 pounds. My triglyceride level is 194. I do not smoke or drink alcohol. I am not currently exercising due to a busy schedule. I have been trying Dr. Adkins diet (low carbs and high fats). Any suggestions on ways to decrease level?

Hello thanx for using hcm,
Fenofibrate is the effective medicine for reducing triglycerides.

TGS gets reduced when you follow low carbohydrate , low fat diet with regular exercise.
Decrease or reduce portion of Carbohydrates like cereals, pulses, fruits, milk and products, sugars.
Avoid Fats like saturated fat and trans fat sources ghee, butter, cream ,cheese, red meats, full fat dairy products,fried foods, bakery products,egg yolk.
Consume small healthy meals with more of fibre like vegetables.
Omega sources like fish, flax seeds, almonds, walnuts, olive is effective in reducing tgs.
