Suggest Medicine For Cough
15 year-old with tight cough after 48 hrs flu +/- cold with some fevers..now dissipated. We have everything to dry up nasum,suppress cough,anti-tussive,plus paracetamol...! However,I am of the opinion that the cough should be loosened first,before being suppressed and the loosened phlegm dissipated after. What is the recommended drug for loosening a tight cough please..if indeed you agree with my belief? Thank you,Neil McNally

As an ENT specialist, I suspect a dry cough associated with flu. There are syrups which you can use but they are available only on prescription, so I recommend you to visit your doctor and get treatment.
