I am doing 40 minutes walking brisk daily. My Triglycerides r 225mg & VLDL is raised, fasting BSL 109 gr./ dl What medication should I take?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. What medications you are taking for diabetes should be fine. Your fasting glucose level is also fine. But your triglycerides seem to be little higher than normal. At this stage, it is advisable for you to continue medications and exercise. Adding more fiber in the diet would help to keep lipids as well as glucose under check. Kindly check your Glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c) levels, which would give you a better picture about control of glucose. In case it is more than 7%, then you may have to consult Diabetologist to alter the dose or changing the drug. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
