Suggest Medicine To Prevent Asthma Attack

I have had asthma most of my life and am now in my adult years (69). My asthma is triggered by changes in the atmospheric pressure. We have inversions here and when the air is cold and foggy I especially have problems. I have been taking advair to prevent asthma attacks, however, advair is causing other problems with my health. Is there any other drug that is designed to prevent asthma attacks?

Hello
You are taking ADVAIR i.e. fluticasone+ salmeterole , no doubt this is a good drug for the treatment for asthma .
When patient with these symptoms visit I prescribe them to take MONTELUKAST+ BAMBUTEROLE ( 10 mg each ) once or twice in day.
Usually patient respond this treatment very well .
Since fluticasone is a steroid and have many side effects , which I think you are facing .
Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide instant relief because as these both acts as bronchodilators .
In my opinion this treatment will help you.
Good luck.
