Suggest Method Of Taking MTPROST Kit

My name is sushma, aged 34. I am pregnant. Today My UPT was done. since I want abortion. Doctor Suggested for MTPROST Kit. Doctor suggested that I should have all the five pills orally, but the container in which the medicine is, says that mifepristone is to be taken orally and misoprostol to be used in Vagina. I'm confused, whom should i follow, the doctor or the contained? is this kit safe for me?

Hello

You can follow any one method, both are right. However,I advise to follow your doctor's direction.
Misoprostol is prostaglandin and it can be taken both orally and vaginally. It causes contraction of uterus and it causes expulsion of fetus.
Mifepristone is an anti-progesterone.Fetus can't survive without progesterone.

You are rightly suggested to take mifepristone orally on day 1 then two tablet misoprostol can be taken on day 2 and day 3 orally.

You can take it safely. It is highly effective in up to 6-7 weeks pregnancy.

Take Care
