Pediatrician, Pulmonology 's  Response
Hello, there are several possibilities for these findings. I would suggest that a vitamin D3 level, Calcium and phosphorous be drawn to evaluate whether his metabolism is normal. In addition, a nutritional and growth assessment is indicated. A careful genetic history is also useful to consider genetic causes of the disease. Does your son have a blue tinge of his sclerae? My practice is a pediatric pulmonary practice and accepts tele medicine consultations. The fax number to provide his medical history and details, x rays and an insurance card can be faxed to the U.S. fax 858 259 9689. I will give you a call back at the number provided to further discuss his case, if you would like.
