Suggest Mode Of Treatment For Obstructing Lithiasis In Distal Left Ureter
Sir, i was diagnosed with minimal hydronephrosis, letf, secondary to obstructing lithiases in the distal left ureter. Both of my kidneys are normal in size and echopattern. The cortico medullary borders are intact.Minimal pelvocalyceal dilatation is seen on left. No calyceal stones seen. No focal solid or cystic lesion noted. Do i need to undergo SHOCK WAVE or an option of oral medication first.
As you already developed minimal hydronephrosis and if you have symptoms like fever, abdominal pain in that case, I think you should go for shock wave lithotripsy.
As you asked, Oral medication options are tablet Urimax 0.4 mg, capsule Stonil which helps for slippage of stone in distal ureter, but you have to take these medications after urologist consultation and it takes time to act.
So, I will advise you to review here with detailed history or consult with urologist. keep yourself well hydrated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
