I have been suffering from burning mouth for several months now and at times also burning eyes. I have been trying several treatments and supplements with my Dr. I have had hormone evaluations and moves to natural hormone supplements. Nothing so far has helped. The usual tests have been run and nothing shows to be an issue except estrogen overload and we are slowly converting to less estrogen and twitching to natural hormone replacement instead of the patch I had been wearing since my hysterectomy. What would you suggest for my next step. I am a teacher and at times have to spend hours reading and talking aloud. This does seem to make it worse for some reason. PLEASE offer any suggestions you may have. XXXX
The burning mouth and burning sensation in eye is secondary to multivitamins deficiency, a remote possibility and it can be secondary to some autoimmune disease leading to itchy and red eyes, being a female and young one can suspect autoimmune disease too. I would suggest you to go for autoimmune profile. CBC, ESR, ANA profile should be done in beginning. Also try to tell me other possible problems of skin, joints or hair loss in your body if any.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
