Suggest Pain In Vagina And Light Brown Discharge After Unsafe Sex
I changed my birth control pill from a 3 hormonal pill to just one. I started my new pack day after i took my last white pill of my old pack. my boyfriend and I had unprotected sex that Tuesday. 2 weeks later i have a sharp pain in my side and light brownish discharge. could I be pregnant?
Hi, Since you switched the pill, you should have used additional protection. In the current scenario, please get an estimation of the serum beta-hCG titres to confirm/exclude pregnancy. If negative, this discharge could mean an impending period. As you changed the pills, there may be some hormone disruption in this cycle and this breakthrough bleeding could be attributed to that. If positive, please seek help from a specialist for further management. A trans-vaginal sonogram is necessary. Hope this helps.
