Suggest Proper Treatment For Abortion
Hi,I am 6 weeks pregnant and have taken cytotec to end the pregnancy (800mcgX3 over 12 hrs). It is 32 hrs since I started taking the tablets. I had cramps and have had slight bleeding but nothing heavy suggesting an abortion. The pharmacist has now suggested taking Methergin (o.125mg) to complete the procedure-will this work?Thanks for your help.

Hello dear,I understand your concern.In my opinion the abortion needs to be done by a combination of medicines.Medical termination of pregnancy is possible upto 6 weeks only.Methergin will not do the work.I suggest you to consult the doctor as the ultrasound might be needed and further management like D&C or any will depend on
the result.Never take abortion medicines on your own to avoid complications like heavy bleeding or incomplete abortion.Always take them under doctor supervision.Because the heavy bleeding can be life threatening sometimes.
