Nephrologist 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Usually nephrotic syndrome in children will get cured by the time your son reaches adolescence. the number of episodes will reduce year by year.episodes usually occur following an upper respiratory infection flu. etc. avoid contact with children who have infections and fevers. keep checking your boys height and weight.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
