I just had a blood test and my TSH is 160 - I have hasimotos disease and have take low dosage of hormone for last 90 days and it has not lowered - am getting quite concerned what should i do
Hello, I can understand your concern. The TSH level is too high and it means that the dose you have been taking is too low. You should raise the dose as suggested by your treating physician (after evaluating the weight and the presence of other illnesses) and recheck the TSH after 6 weeks. It is very important to take the tablets regularly and as suggested by the physician. Wish you good health, Kind regards, Dr.Mirjeta
