Suggest Remedies For A Black Bruise On The Foot Post An Injury
I cut my foot on a really nasty looking oyster the other day and it took a while trying to clean it out. I now have a bruise like black line running up the side of my calf and it just keeps getting longer and I have 3 bruises going up my leg. My mom said she got blood poisioning from a cut before and that you don t really feel it, it just starts to clot up a little bit. It doesn t hurt at all, just a weird line and some bruises.
It would be best to be seen. With appropriate treatment, you are likely to be okay but you should be evaluated.
The infection needs to be ruled out. Most infections are treated quite well with a course of antibiotics. You should also consider checking your tetanus status.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care

Bruises are common after blunt trauma. It is nothing but a collection of blood underneath the skin. Nothing much to worry and it will settle by itself. No definite treatment is required. You can apply ice packs for faster recovery.
