Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Suggest Remedies For Anxiety Attacks With Extreme Stress
I am going through a lot of stress right now. Helping to take care of a sister with her 2nd bout of breast cancer. My mother was just diagnosed with breast cancer and she moved in with us (she is 86). We just moved into a smaller apartment while our house is being built. I also recently (2 weeks ago) started a whole food plant based diet and have been doing well. My symptoms are feeling like I have anxiety - chest feels heavy with slight light headness (not dizzy) just feeling a little off. Worried about heart and cancer 4 of 6 of our immediate family have cancer (2 deceased) and now I am imagining breast heaviness.
I hope you do not have any other health problems like high or low blood pressure, diabetics, thyroid problems, anemia etc. If those physical areas are clear, then the stress you were and are facing could be the reason for your present anxiety and other related symptoms. Extreme stress can cause such symptoms. Please learn and practice stress management therapy. Exercise and meditate.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. K. V. Anand, Psychologist
