Hello,

Usually, the baker's cyst is nontroublesome and do not lead to any pain and aches. But as the scan reveals that there is a ligament injury, if it's a partial tear then immobilizing the knee joint will be good.

Here immobilization will be using the knee brace for 3 weeks.

In this duration do not apply weight to the injured knee. Post 3 weeks start slow static Quadriceps and static hamstring along with straight leg raise and ankle toe movements.

Knee strengthening exercises are a must to avoid the reduce joint space and pressure due to the baker's cyst ok the blood vessels.

In case the ligament is fully torn than a reconstruction of the ligament is a must and also the cyst. As if this is left untreated than may damage the joint internal structures more. Surgery is guided in this case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
