Hello my name is Paul I'm 21 years old and my doctor done blood test to me and said I have alchohlic liver infflamation and if I don't stop drinking I will get cirrhosis ? But after doctor I still drinking 4 months, but now I quit drinking... Do you think I still have a chance to dodge cirrhosis ? I don't have any symtoms and I'm not yeallow just very white also my wieght is 55kg... Will my liver heal itself at least after 3 months ? Will there be positive effects and can if I don't yet have cirrhosis ? I read that coffee and black tea is good for a liver also is that true ? And what do I need to eat so that my liver will be more healthy ? Sorry for my bad English...
I understand your concern. Cirrhosis is a result of advanced liver disease. It is characterized by replacement of liver tissue by fibrosis (scar tissue) and leads to loss of liver function. Cirrhosis is a long process and if you stop drinking alcohol now very likely you will successfully avoid the development of cirrhosis. Your weight loss and paleness are connected with your excessive alcohol consumption. You can drink coffee and black tea, but try to dring not more than two or three cups a day. The best way to improve your liver function for you is to stop using alcohol.
