i am 36 yrs old. from the past 6 months i had weak erections and also premature ejaculations.3 days back i was having suprapubic pain, urgency,perineal pain,and consulted an urologist,got an usg done which showed bladder wall thickened,prostrate enlarged to 31 cc and seminal vesicle enlarged on rt side. a PR was also done to confirm it clinically and was tender.i was told that it is acute prostatitis and put on tab.ciprofloxacin500mg BD for 21 days and then review.i checked in the net several articles and felt that it could be acute on chronic prostatitis. urine routine was normal and culture showed no growth. will i be able to get back to normal. help me out

Hi dear,
This problem can be due to benign prostatic hypertrophy but it rarely occurs before 40 yrs, once acute inflammation is cured , you can go for prostate biopsy.Review your treatment with the treating urologist.Don't worry you will be able to get back to normal.
