Throat is the first barrier for the any foreign agent to enter the body. Irritation of the throat can be due to infection (rather bacterial or virus), acid reflux, allergy. In your case, the culture of throat showed no organism, meaning there is no bacterial infection. Then, the irritation in the throat could be due to possible allergy or acid reflux. To me, should run upper endoscopy to check it out and keep good oral hygiene as you're doing now Discuss it further with your caring ENT and gastroenterologist.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
