Suggest Remedies For Pain And Soreness In Tongue After Wisdom Teeth Removal

Hi! I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth surgically removed 11 days ago. I was on an antibiotic twice a day for 3 days and a steroid 3 times a day for 3 days. About 3 days ago, I noticed the right side of my tongue was kinda sore. I thought it was from my tongue rubbing on my back molar which is pushed in a little from my wisd teeth. Over these 3 days, the pain has spread and is now hurting on my whole tongue. I have a medium sized bump that is red with a little white to it on the right side of my tongue. It is hard to swallow and hurts to talk. Could this be oral thrush?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that you have Inflammation inside mouth leading to inflammation of tongue causing GLOSSITIS and a red and white lump seems to be due to formation of an ulcer..

The symptoms does not appear to be that of Thrush that appears as white coating on tongue..

You should consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated.
In case of inflammation and ulceration you can be advised to take Vitamin B complex and lysine supplements, Gargle with numbing mouthwash containing Lignocaine, avoid spicy and hard foods, such ice pops, apply Triamcinolone Acetonide ointment over the bump..
You can also take Lysine supplements..
If you have any sharp edges of teeth get them smoothened...
