Suggest Remedies For Pain In Bladder After Putting SPC Catheter
Hi my name is Sara. I have a SPC catheter only for one week and it has been hell. Firstly I got bad infection so had to return to hospital after ben home for 4 hours. I was put back in hospital and intravenous antibiotic. After 3 days I was sent home with oral antibiotics. I have put up with terrible pain in the bladder area with a terrible urge to go to the toilet, it has been so bad that I go and sit on the toilet and push and push so hard hoping to relieve my self of some discomfort but it doesn t . I still have 3 days left of Antibiotics and also I am drinking plenty of water. please help Sara
Hello Sara and welcome to HCM. As an Urologist,i can fully understand your concern. S.P.C., can be irritating and usually,not a focus of infection. You've not mentioned details like, your age,indication for S.P.C.,and what medications you're taking presently.You must take full course of antibiotics. Bladder muscle relaxants, and anti-spasmodics, are available, which help majority of people on SPC.
