Suggest Remedies For Pain In Throat And Trouble In Breathing After Swallowing A Coin
I once swalled a 20c coin and had a massive pain in my throat, like it was stuck in there. It would hurt when i swalled, laughed, took a breath, coughed etc. Suddenly the pain has come back for no reason and i m finding it hard to breathe and do anything. What could of caused it? And how can i ge it to go away?
You have not mentioned about the investigations to see where the coin is. Consult an ENT Surgeon for having endoscopy so that the coin will be seen if present. It will also help to see whether the trauma caused by coin cause local damage, edema or infection locally. X-ray of the neck in both the views, chest and abdomen to see for the position of the coin.
If it is still stuck in the lower pharynx or upper esophagus then you need to undergo removal. If only edema or infection then it would be better to have a course of an antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and as needed or advised.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
