Suggest Remedies For Painful Genitalia, During Urination, After Removing The Foley Catheter
I m having issues urinating and ejaculating since having my Foley catheter removed, it is very painful and causing all types of issues in my household. I also have a lot of swelling in the penis area as well as on the scrotum and I have difficulty sitting down. I still have a stupid pubic and whenever I use it to empty my bladder I feel a weird tingling sensation inside of my penis as well. What should I do to rid myself of this pain and get back to your normal urination?
First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately.
Based on the history you have shared, such symptoms indicate urethritis if persist even after removal of the catheter and if a few days have passed. Urine cultures may be helpful.
Antibiotics may also be needed. If pain persists a urologist review is recommended.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
