Suggest Remedies For Recurring Nose Bleeds

I keep having reoccurring nose bleeds. Sometimes 5 a day, unannounced, at random. I believe they are anterior nose bleeds because I feel the bleed rush down my throat then pour out of my nose for about 5 minutes. Then it will stop after it bleeds out. I have gone 3 days, tops without one in the past week in a half. Any suggestions?

Hello,

Since you complaining of blood rush down dour throat, it is a posterior nose bleed & can be dangerous.

Recurrent nose bleeds commonly occur due to high blood pressure, sinusitis, nose picking, drying of the nasal membranes or a foreign body.

Keep the nasal mucosa moist with the help of nasal spray, humidifier, petroleum jelly, etc.

Visit ER, get examined & get investigations (CBC, PTT, CT, X-Ray, nasal endoscopy) done.

Cold compress, decongestants & nasal sprays effectively control it. However, it should not be treated at home.

Cauterization prevents & stops frequent or recurrent nose bleeds. Get diagnosed, get treated at the earliest.
