I have never had a nose bleed, however, I have had 4 in the last 6 days. I am on no medications and am in reasonably good health. These bleeds are followed by some significant clots and a short time later the bleeding subsists. The whole things lasts about 1/2 hours with some nice bright red blood. I don t know what is bringing this on and do I need to worry. Haven t had any thing done about it.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of recurring nose bleeds which is known as hemoptysis. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like Bronchitis , Lung abscess, Lung cancer , Emphysema , traumatic injury to nose, ruptured blood vessel . Aplly cold compresses to nose and compress while bleeding .Well this condition need immediate medical attention. I would suggest you to consult chest specialist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order certain test like CT scan , chest X-ray , bronchoscopy , physical examination , biopsy and complete blood count . Doctor may prescribe for treatment as per diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics for pneumonia or tuberculosis , chemotherapy and/or radiation for lung cancer, steroids for inflammatory conditions or refer you to ENT specialist for nasal injury , sinusitis or nasal polyp.
