Suggest Remedies For Red, Swollen And Pus Filled Area On The Stitches Post Mole Removal
Hi I have seen my GP on monday to remove a mole on my lower stomach. It however needed stitches after it was removed. It is about 6 stitches. On wednesday it was red and swelled up quite a bit, yellowish pus also came out. Went to see the GP again on thursday where i received anti inflammatory pills, 3 injections and antibiotics. After following clear instructions and drinking my tablets thrice a day, i still see no sign of improvement. Please assist. Should I go to the ER or just give my body some time to heal.
Topical antibiotics like mupirocin can be applied after cleaning with soap and water. Oral antibiotics like Amoxicillin or Amoxiclav can also be started empirically.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
