General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I am sorry for the health situation you are going through.

The itching you experience in the groin area, taking into account your personal history of fungal infection for 3 years is indicating that you're having the same fungal infection.

However, a photo of the groin area is needed to conclude the itching is due to fungal infection.

Can run a skin scrapping examination to rule it out/confirm.

Treatment should be by taking terbinafin/antifungal treatment orally and locally. For the moment, can apply beclomethasone ointment locally to ease itching.

Examination of stool for ova parasites is also recommended.

Hope this helps.
