Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain pain in jaw after Novocaine shot for dental crown and pain in jaw and difficulty in mouth opening after the wearing off of the Novocaine shot can be due to high points in the crown that has been placed leading to premature contact with the opposite jaw tooth leading to excessive forces causing jaw pain..

Other reason can be nerve injury caused during injection..

Trauma to the jaw joint can also be a cause..

Consult your Dentist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation, bite test and x ray done..

In case of high points trimming the same will relieve..
In case of nerve injury it will get resolved gradually and you can be given Vitamin b complex as it helps in nerve repair.

As of now continue taking painkillers and muscle relaxant like Chlorzoxasone and also try to open the mouth as wide as possible under limits of tolerance..

Hope this helps..

Thanks and regards.
